Egyptian feeding trials confirm sorghum performance

Two sorghum feeding trials in Egypt were carried out successfully by the US Grains Council to demonstrate the use of non-tannin in broiler feed rations and to assess the nutritive value based on actual Egyptian conditions.

Egypt does produce sorghum domestically, it is of the tannin variety and it is only used for human consumption. The livestock and poultry producers have little knowledge about the benefits of non-tannin sorghum in feed rations and they have never imported non tannin sorghum variety. Read more ...
