Imports of Animal feeds products stuck in South Vietnam ports

With the arrival of a new law on Food Safety and Hygiene in Vietnam, which become effective from July 1, imported foodstuffs have become backlogged. Under the new law goods of plant origin must be produced by a nation that meets Vietnam's requirements for food safety , also appropriate packaging and labelling in Vietnamese language stating certified mark.

In the past there were 20 countries that imported products of plant origin to Vietnam regularly, but now the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development say that list has been reduced to five only and these five meet Vietnams requirements to be allowed to import. Read more ...
