Viterra invests in its Australian business

Canadian grains group Viterra, is to invest in ABB Grains its Australian operation, which Viterra purchased nearly two years ago for CAN$1.6 billion (€1.144 billion). Viterra acquisition of ABB was its first outside its native Canada.

One of the reasons for this investment is to improve communication with grain growers, as well as transporters and to improve testing of grain quality. Viterra is also planning to expand its operations in western Victoria to allow it to package up to 250,000 tonnes of grains in containers for export. Read more ...
