China's clenbuterol scandal death penalty upheld

Recently in China several people were involved in the clenbuterol scandal, where the death sentence was handed out to Liu Xiang with a two year reprieve, however that was overturned and the death sentence stands. Three officials were also convicted of dereliction of duty in this scandal. They were found guilty of allowing the sale of 38,000 pigs (live) to other provinces without conducting the correct inspections for clenbuterol. Read more ...
