Malaysia will be the site for Arkema new facility

Arkema the French based chemical group is joins forces with the South Korean biotechnology group CJ Cheil Jedanghas chosen Malaysia to be the site of a new plant for the production of Methionine. This new facility will serve the entire Asian market.

The new plant is scheduled to be online in late 2013 and the initial cost of US$400 million (€277.874 million). The partners decided on Malaysia due to the good infrastructure and ports from the region of Kerteh, and also the efforts of the Malaysian government to attract foreign companies. Read more ...
