Farmers in California are moving away from older style pesticides

Farmers in California are starting to move towards a more environmentally friendly way of dealing with crop pests. A new report shows that farmers are clearly reducing their use of the older more heavily regulated pesticides in favour of the newer environmentally friendly methods to control pest. The Alliance for Food and Farming commissioned the report titled Pesticide Use Trends in California Agriculture, it shows that the use of old style pesticides had declined by some 66 percent over the last 12 years.
