Environmentalists in Bulgaria object to unlabeled GM feed

Animal feed that contains genetically modified contents is being sold from Bulgarian market, according to reports from the Public Environmental Centre for Sustainable Development/PECSD/ in Varna and environmental NGO 'Za Zemiata' (For the Earth). A series of test were carried out in November by a team of experts and a Varna based laboratory has concluded that five types of feed containing soybean meal produced in Bulgaria contains over five percent of GMO.
