Van Aarsen to build a 90 ton per hour feed mill

Van Aarsen International is to start building a major new state of the arts feed mill for Kalmar Lantmän in the South of Sweden. Van Aarsen will supply, build and towards the end of 2013 start up a 90 ton per hour feed mill. This is the largest project in the companies 63 year history. Kalmar Lantmän is the client who purchased this new state-of-the-art feed mill, being a total investment of €45 million (US$59.175 million) and will enable the company to increase its feed production to 275,000 tons per year.

The motivation behind replacing their two existing feed mills was to create lower production costs per tonne of feed, by using the highest degree of automation, flexibility and efficiency and at the same time achieving vast improvements in hygienic production, ATEX and fire safety with a considerable reduction in labour and energy costs.
