Wayne Farms purchasing feed mill for continued growth

Wayne Farms, a poultry processing company in Danville, Arkansas are planning to purchase Pilgrim’s Pride Feed Mill in Atkins, Arkansas, which will allow them to continue to ship grains by rail. Due to a Economic Infrastructure Grant from Arkansas Economic Development Commission of US$600,000 (€457,219.8).

Purchasing the Pilgrim’s Pride Feed Mill in Atkins will allow Wayne Farms to continue to ship grain by rail. Wayne Farms cited the high cost of shipping grain by truck in the decision. The business currently receives about 2,500 rail cars of corn and soy per year. Read more ...
