Kiotechagil technical symposium targets Peru. High performance natural feed additive supplier Kiotechagil and Montana, one of the most important premix/nutrition company in Peru, hosted a technical seminar which gave Peruvian producers the technical information and solutions for important challenges such intestinal health and myocotoxicosis. Held in Lima, the event was attended by around 30 poultry and swine producers and presentations were made by Ian Cockshott on the importance of mycotoxins and products to prevent its impact and by Dr Luciano Sa on improving intestinal health of poultry and pigs with slow release organic acids in feed. “Our message was that to maximise performance and profitability for producers, animals need to grow as fast and as efficiently as their genetic make-up allows and that the bacterial balance in the digestive tract is one of the main issues effecting global poultry performance at the moment,” said Ian Cockshott. “We also made producers well aware that continued use of antibiotics to control bacteria may not be the answer. Organic Acids such as pHorce and Bactacid are well recognised as highly effective alternatives to antibiotic growth promoters.” More information...
