Event: SIMA-SIMAGENA

SIMA-SIMAGENA February 24-28, 2013,  Paris, France, is planning to make its 75th event even more international in 2013. Dedicated to the theme of “high- performance and sustainable world agriculture”, it will also further strengthen its position as the leading event for players from across the agricultural sector. International exhibitor registrations are up by an additional 12%, with over 41 countries already represented. Buoyed by positive market conditions, foreign visitor numbers are also on the rise, with people from more than 120 countries expected at the show.

SIMA-SIMAGENA 2013 will provide an opportunity for everyone to exchange ideas and make valuable contacts in international markets. Algeria, China and Kazakhstan will be given pride of place at the show, while a packed line-up of events and activities for visitors and exhibitors - including an International Forum, technical talks and practical workshops, open shows, the UBIFRANCE forum, and Climmar Meetings - will be organised during the five-day event.

NUMEROUS INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITORS...
Aware of the many benefits offered by SIMA-SIMAGENA, numerous exhibitors have already signalled their intention to showcase their innovative agricultural equipment at the show.

Returning in 2013...
Attending for the first time
Many companies will be attending SIMA-SIMAGENA for the first time in 2013, including Soucy (Canada), Irtec (Italy) and Agromaster (Finland).
Among the newcomers are Portuguese manufacturer Herculano Alfaias Agricolas which produces a wide range of agricultural equipment, including agricultural and forestry trailers, water and slurry tankers, manure spreaders, front loaders, and disc harrows, many of which will be showcased at the event. According to the company’s sales and marketing director Filipe Neto: "If we want to drive our export sales and win over foreign buyers we absolutely have to be at an international show like SIMA. By showcasing our products here, and making new contacts, we also hope to increase our market share in France".

Czech firm Farmet, founded in 1992, specialises in soil treatment, sowing and oilseed-
processing technologies. It will be returning to the show for the second time in 2013 with a
455 sq.m. stand. According to the company’s marketing director, Jaroslav Korecek: “SIMA
gives us a chance to beef up our presence in France and throughout Europe, and to meet
with French and international visitors. We’re hoping to forge strong sales contacts and build
on our growth momentum. We’ll also be presenting our latest innovations at SIMA, like the
Softer, Duolent and Triolent series".

American company Orthman will also be exhibiting at SIMA-SIMAGENA for the first time in 2013, with a focus on its earth-moving and strip-tillage equipment. Orthman, a pioneer in the emerging minimum tillage sector, will be showcasing 1tRIPr, a particularly innovative seedbed preparation machine. For Alan Fairbanks, the company’s international sales development manager, SIMA-SIMAGENA is a great opportunity to meet with key European and international buyers: "Our tillage solutions are extremely popular so we simply had to be at an international show like SIMA-SIMAGENA, which has such a broad visitor base. It’s going to be a good opportunity to reach out to potential customers.”
