Jamesway and USPOULTRY present checks to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta

Kate Myers, foundation program coordinator for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, accepting check from John Starkey, president of U.S. Poultry & Egg Association, and Ian MacKinnon, president of Jamesway Incubator Company.
Ian MacKinnon, president of Jamesway Incubator Company, presented a check in the amount of $2,000 to Kate Myers, foundation program coordinator for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. U.S. Poultry & Egg Association matched Jamesway’s contribution with John Starkey, president, presenting the check. Hard Rock Café is also contributing $2 per every IPPE and IPE 65th anniversary pin sold. The presentation took place at the 2013 International Production & Processing Expo in Atlanta, the world’s largest annual tradeshow for the poultry, feed, and meat industries.

This is Jamesway’s fourth year of donating to the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. U.S. Poultry & Egg Association has contributed for last three years, and Hard Rock Café for the last two years.

“Jamesway has been exhibiting for many, many years at the International Poultry Expo and have appreciated the support provided by the host city. Therefore, four years ago we started contributing to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta to give something back to this community,” said MacKinnon.

“Once we learned what Jamesway was doing, we immediately wanted to match their contribution. Jamesway provided an outstanding example,” said Starkey.

“Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta relies on donors like Jamesway, U.S. Poultry & Egg Association and Hard Rock Café to fulfill its mission of bringing health, hope and happiness to children through philanthropic support. The Children's Foundation provides medically needed healthcare to the children of Georgia who families could not otherwise afford to pay,” said Myers.
