Event: Press Reception sees the media turn out in force at VIV Asia 2013

VIV Asia held a well-attended Press Reception two days prior to the opening of VIV Asia 2013, which starts tomorrow morning at Thailand's BITEC, to set the scene for one of Asia's largest agriculture events.

Bangkok is hosting just over 750 exhibitors representing 40 countries and occupying six full halls at Bangkok's newest exhibitor centre. The organisers say they are expecting over 25,000 visitors from Asia, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East, Africa and Japan. Now that the link corridor has been finished, visitors can make a pleasant air-conditioned foot journey from just near the capital's closest metro station to the exhibition entrance itself.

It's the first time the organisers have hosted a reception on behalf of the press and they say the successful turnout of press and exhibitors proves the point that VIV Asia is a place to meet and discuss business developments.

The reception was in advance of the main set-up day during which there were off-site meetings and conferences. VIV Asia itself will be hosting over 30 conferences and seminars on Wendesday, Thursday and Friday to ensure visitors get the maximum value for making the journey to one of South East Asia favourite travel destinations.

High on the conference agenda is the latest offering in the form of a debate. Called CropTech-FeedTech the first meeting which is sponsored by Perendale Publishers Limited on behalf of Grain and feed Milling Technology magazine, presents a debate that focuses on 'Digital Engineering in the Feed Manufacturing Industry'. Companies taking place include: Muyang, Foss, Agentis, Wenger, Amandus Kahl and Aldifo, We'll be reporting on the outcome of this unusual approach to stimulating discussion and debate within our industry about new technologies and the benefits they may bring. This debate is being chaired by Roger Gilbert of Perendale Publishers Limited.

A second CropTech-FeedTech conference is sponsored by Watt Media and looks at enzymes in poultry feeds and immunoglobulins in piglet feed at the same time.
