04/07/2013: The Kamenka warehouse; Tasmanian grain; CHS launches grain marketing website

Construction has started on a new grain storage facility in the Kamensky District, Russia. When completed it will be the largest grain storage facility in the Penza region.

Cherkizovo bought the Kamenka grain warehouse in 2012, and have invested €11.6 million (500 million rubles).

The Grains Research & Development Corporation Board visited for a strategy meeting concerning Tasmania's current moratorium which bans the production of genetically modified crops.

Keith Perrett, chairman, said Tasmania's current moratorium banning the production of genetically modified crops is another limit to the options for Tasmanian farmers.

CHS Inc. has created www.chsag.com to serve farmers selling grain directly to CHS river terminals and processing plants in Iowa, Minnesota and Illinois.

The new public Website features cash bids updated every 10 minutes, a powerful charting tool, radar weather and forecasts, futures market overviews, as well as specific location contacts and announcements.
