GRAPAS Awards entries open

You may think we have, over the past 150 years achieved all the progress we can towards creating an efficient milling industry the provides safe food at affordable prices and delivered to consumers on a timely basis. Not so.

There is still significant progress being made towards those objectives on an annual basis and the GRAPAS Awards are designed to recognise the advances being made by industry in an area that has largely disappeared from view. That recognition is made in the form of an award called GRAPAS, and is made at the milling industry's most dedicated event - a three sector co-located exhibition held in Asia every two years and in Europe every fourth year.

GRAPAS represents the cereals and oilseeds milling sector with a foes on rice, pasta and flour milling. There are three parts to GRAPAS: an exhibition (co-located with Victam and FIAAP exhibitions); a conference (a one-day event for millers) and an award (for the most innovative and economic improvement in milling developed over the past two years).

However, to apply for the award a company must be exhibiting at the GRAPAS Exhibition. The next opportunity to exhibit is at the co-located Victam-FIAAP-GRAPAS Exhibition which is to be held in Bangkok, Thailand's BITEC (Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre) from April 8-10, 2014.

Application opened on Friday and exhibitors can log in here to download the application form. Applicants can also apply to speak about their development on the GRAPAS Conference program by emailing: tutit@perendale.co.uk
