AFIA is pleased to announce it will be hosting its International Feed Education Forum as part of next year's International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE).

The half-day event, which takes place on the second day of the IPPE, will feature three sessions discussing topics impacting today’s feed manufacturers.

What's involved?
- Keith Epperson, AFIA’s vice president of manufacturing and training, will open the forum, presenting on the latest regulations from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

 - Richard Sellers, AFIA’s senior vice president of legislative and regulatory affairs, will discuss the implementation of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and other government compliance rules such as the Veterinary Feed Directive.

 - The final speaker, Dr. Henry Turlington, AFIA’s director of quality and manufacturing regulatory affairs will discuss FSMA Hazard Identification Requirements. Sellers, Epperson and Turlington will focus their talks on areas that directly impact today’s feed manufacturers and what managers need to know on how to abide by the regulations.

The IPPE is a collaboration of three shows - the International Feed Expo, the International Meat Expo and the International Poultry Expo - representing the entire chain of protein production and processing. The event is sponsored by the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA), and the American Meat Institute (AMI), and U.S. Poultry & Egg Association (USPOULTRY).

When?
IPPE is scheduled to take place from 28-30 January 2014 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, USA.
