Margaret Croston, co-founder and company secretary of Croston Engineering - bulk storage and handling engineers for the animal feed industry - has been awarded the British Empire Medal in the New Year's Honours in recognition of her services to the community of Christleton and Chester, UK.

Since 1976, Croston Engineering Ltd has provided project management expertise and contracting facilities associated with the bulk storage and handling of powdered and granular materials throughout the Animal and Human Food Industries.

The company offers a complete mechanical, civil and electrical engineering design service incorporating in house Computer Aided Design (CAD) facilities.

The scope of this work involves bulk storage and handling content of a project, as well as peripheral activities as pneumatic conveying, weighing, metering, dust control, filtration, liquids addition etc.
