22/09/14 ANIMAL FEED MILLING PLANT AND EQUIPMENT TO BE AUCTIONED BY SANDERSON WEATHERALL AND CHARTERED SURVEYORS LISNEY

Auction sale of 600 lots being staged on Thursday, 2nd October 2014
Industrial auctioneers Sanderson Weatherall have been appointed to stage an online auction of animal feed milling plant and equipment on behalf of Joseph Stewart & Co Ltd following its decision to sell The Corn Mills milling business in Boyle, Co. Roscommon, Ireland.
The live onsite auction and webcast is being staged by Sanderson Weatherall in conjunction with chartered surveyors Lisney, Ireland’s largest independent real estate agents and features the sale of 600 lots of production machinery suitable for the manufacture of pellets, coarse ration and micronized flakes.
Key items to be auctioned include five pelleting presses, two hammer mills, two micronisers, two roller mills, electrical equipment, laboratory equipment, plant spares and consumables and many items of factory equipment.
The auction and webcast will be staged at 11am on Thursday, 2nd October with viewing of equipment at The Corn Mills in Mill Road, Boyle between 10am and 4pm on Wednesday, 1st October or by appointment.
Auctioneers will be on site to conduct a traditional sale with online bidding available through Bidspotter.com to purchasers from the UK and overseas who are unable to attend.
Roy Tubman, partner asset advisory at Sanderson Weatherall, said the sale was being staged because the directors of Joseph Stewart & Co Ltd had sold the company to focus on other areas of their business.
He said: “There is a well-established milling industry in Ireland because of its healthy agribusiness sector so local buyers will have an opportunity to acquire plant for their own mills in good time for installation prior to the busy winter period.
“This is a rare opportunity for local buyers who attended similar auctions in the UK because rationalisation of the industry means there are now very few mill disposals.”
Mr Tubman expected the auction to attract bidders from throughout the United Kingdom and abroad with enquiries received from mainland Europe, SE Asia and Australia.
Ends.
