Devastating US bird flu further weakens local grain market
The devastating US bird flu outbreak is further weakening already low grain markets as poultry producers who have lost millions of birds are selling their stocks of feed on the local market.

Argentine soybean seed tracking registry created to discourage re-selling of Monsanto seeds
Argentina’s agriculture ministry has created a registry to track the amount of Monsanto Intacta soybean seeds gathered and saved by the country’s farmers from their prior harvests. 

In related news, Argentina’s upcoming elections may bring policy shifts that could lead the country’s farmers to release its stored soybeans onto the market, triggering a plunge in prices.
