01/06/2015: Perten’s NEW falling number 1000 - faster, safer & industry approved!

Calibre will be launching the all new Falling Number 1000 at Cereals 2015. Perten’s Falling Number instruments are the only approved instrument for running the World Wide Standard method for measuring alpha-amylase activity in flour and grain.

Alpha amylase activity has great influence over the quality of baked goods, pasta and noodles and is a natural occurring enzyme in grain. This enzyme is naturally occurring in Grain that increases in concentration during wet harvests.

The new system includes functions for automatic water level control, automatic start/stop and an easy to use touch screen interface. No Calibration is required which makes it quick and simple to start using.

How the NEW Falling Number 1000 can help you:
  • Save money by avoiding mixing sound and sprouted Grain.
  • Blend Grains or Flours to create a product with specific characteristics.
  • Ensure deliveries meet end-user specifications and purchase agreements.
  • Verify total enzymatic activity in flours supplements with Fungal enzymes.
