  • Consumer goods research firm IDG forecasts that China will remain the world’s largest grocery market over the next five years, seeing growth of 33 percent between now and 2020
  • Reuters reports that as a reaction to a sharp decline in grain prices, Asian grain buyers are securing forward grain purchases in a rare move, with some buyers booking shipments up to the middle of 2016
  • For the first time, Iran will not import wheat this year after the state was able to make sufficient purchases from local farmers thanks to an ample harvest, according to Ali Qanbari, the country’s deputy agriculture minister
