Against the grain: Canada’s G3 not interested in Glencore Assets sale 
The recently announced sale of Glencore’s agricultural assets has attracted global attention, but Canada’s G3 states it is not interested in joining the field of bidders.

Syngenta withdraws applications to grow GM corn in the EU 
Syngenta has withdrawn two applications to grow GM corn in the EU – a move that is being taken as the latest sign that the industry no longer considers the EU a viable seed market.

US corn and soy production lower, but global grain output up – USDA 
The latest WASDE report issued by the USDA indicates lower US corn and soybean output, but global output as being supported by higher Brazilian production.

Brazilian Ag consultancy, Celeres, sees larger soy crop  

Brazil’s Celeres forecasts an increase in soybean acreage of 2.3 percent to 79.5 million acres for 2015/2016 as the devalued Brazilian real drives up production.  

Cargill announces plans to invest US$50M in Kansas soybean plant upgrade 
Cargill Inc announced it is investing US$50 million to complete upgrades at its Wichita, Kansas soybean processing plant that are expected to increase production at the site by 30 percent. 

Canada’s G3 building Can$50M grain terminal in Hamilton 
G3 Canada Ltd is solidifying its Southern Ontario grain pipeline with the construction of a US$50 million terminal in Hamilton on the western edge of Lake Ontario. 

ADM to add soy crushing capacity at German plant to meet non-GMO demand 
In answer to higher demand for non-GMO soy meal, ADM is retrofitting its rapeseed processing plant in Straubing, Germany to also process locally sourced non-GMO soybeans.
