Chinese buyers suspend DDGS imports from the US 
Chinese buyers have suspended purchases of US DDGS based on concern that Beijing will launch another anti-dumping probe surrounding the shipments. 

Pendleton grain growers to divest grain unit 
After reviewing 2015 harvest results, Pendleton Grain Growers’ board has decided to divest its grain business assets before the 2016/17 season.

European Parliament rejects national GMO bans proposal 
The European Parliament has rejected a draft bill that would allow any EU member state to prohibit the use or sale of GMO foods or feeds within its territory by a vote of 577 to 75 with 38 abstentions.The American Soybean Association has applauded the vote. 

Canada expects 18 percent drop in canola exports 
Despite a more upbeat outlook for production, Canada is expecting to see an 18 percent drop in canola exports in 2015/16 as buyers face markets flooded with cheap soybean and palm oil. 

Bunge accepting grain at new Australian storage facilities 
Bunge is accepting grain at its two new storage site in Western Australia located at Kukerin and Arthur River for the first time this season.

Scotland’s Greenshields Agri and Agricultural Management Haddington have agreed to merge to form one of the largest agricultural operations in the UK’s northern grain belt.

Queensland grain growers call for increase to ethanol targets

Heard: The UK’s Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA’s) GM Inspectorate (GMI) confirmed the unintended presence of GM seed in a batch of imported conventional oilseed rape seed from France, which was planted in small plots at several sites across England and Scotland. The GMI was alerted by a company after test results on a selection of the imported seed indicated the possibility of a GM presence. The company has agreed to destroy all the plants.
