On August 31, 2016 Yamazaki Baking's licensing agreement with Mondelēz International will end. It will not be renewed.
Yamazaki will end the production of four brands: Oreos, Ritz, Premium and Chips Ahoy. Other product lines will be unaffected. The following day Yamazaki Baking will change its name to Yamazaki Biscuits Co, Ltd.
