The North American Millers’ Association (NAMA) has announced
that NAMA Vice Chairman, Mark Kolkhorst, has been elected Chairman of NAMA
Board of Directors for the 2016-2018 term, succeeding Dan Dye, CEO, Ardent
Mills LP (Denver, CO).
The announcement was made at the annual NAMA Board of Directors meeting held September 9 in Middleburg, VA.

“It has been a pleasure working with Dan Dye over the last
two years and we are indebted to Dan for the leadership he provided our
association over the past few years. He's been an exceptional chairman and I
want to thank him again for his service to NAMA”, said Jim McCarthy, NAMA
President & CEO.

Mark Kolkhorst is president of Archer Daniels Midland
Company’s Milling business (Overland Park, KS). He oversees ADM’s flour milling
business in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and the United Kingdom.
Mr Kolkhorst most recently served as president, ADM Alliance Nutrition, and as president, Milling and Cocoa. He also served as president of Specialty Feed Ingredients as well as in various management positions in grain merchandising.
Mr Kolkhorst joined the company in 1986. Mr Kolkhorst holds a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness from Illinois State University. He serves on the executive committee of the North American Millers’ Association and the board of directors of the National Association of Manufacturers. Mr Kolkhorst is also a board member of the Kansas City-based American Royal Association, a charitable organisation focused on educating youth about agriculture, and serves on the board of the National Parkinson Foundation Heartland Chapter.

At the same meeting, D. Wade Ellis, Vice President &
General Manager, Bunge Milling Company (St. Louis, MO), was elected NAMA Vice
Chairman (2016-2018) and D. Ford Mennel, President, Mennel Milling Company
(Fostoria, OH), and Pat Van Osch, Senior Vice President, Operations, Richardson
International, Ltd. (Winnipeg, MB, Canada) were each elected to three-year
terms on the Executive Committee of the NAMA Board of Directors, replacing
Richard Siemer, Siemer Milling Company (Teutopolis, IL), and John Didion,
Didion Milling Company (Johnson Creek, WI), whose three-year terms on the NAMA
Executive Committee are ending.

Since 1929, NAMA has awarded Honorary Membership as a
tribute to individuals with outstanding records of achievement, and years of
valuable service to the milling industry. NAMA awarded Honorary Membership to
Donald L. Mennel, Mennel Milling Company (retired) and Robert “Bob” J. Giguere
(1951-2016) of Iowa Corn Processors (Glidden, IA) on September 9.
Donald L. Mennel is Chairman of the Board of the Mennel
Milling Company. Don is the fourth generation to assume the leadership of the
family business and recently passed the presidential torch to the fifth
generation, his son D. Ford Mennel.
Don joined the Company in 1973 and succeeded his father, Donald M. Mennel, as president in 1980. He holds an undergraduate degree in English from Macalester College, a master’s degree in English literature from Eastern Michigan University and an MBA from Michigan State University. Don previously served as a director and a member on the executive committee of the North American Millers’ Association and is a Past Chairman of the Millers’ National Federation.
He has served as a member of the Federal Grain Inspection Service Advisory Board and is past chairman of the Eastern Soft Wheat Technical Board.

Bob Giguere graduated from Beloit College in 1975 at which
time Bob and his wife, Rosie, moved back to the Kansas City area to start their
married life together. Bob taught history and economics for one year at Notre
Dame de Sion in Kansas City, MO, and in 1985 Bob and his family moved to
Marion, IN where Bob followed in the footsteps of his father's creation and
began what would be his lifelong career in the dry corn milling industry.
In 1998, Bob relocated to Western Iowa where he began building a new dry corn mill in Glidden, which would become Iowa Corn Processors (ICP). ICP produces corn grits, meal, and flour products for the food and beverage industries, as well as co-products for animal feed. Bob was passionate about many things - first and foremost his wife and family.
Bob will be remembered as a leader, a mentor, and an educator. He was gentle,
loving, passionate and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. Rosie
Giguere accepted the award on behalf of Bob and Giguere family. Rosie was
joined by daughter, Nicole Giguere, and their two sons Christopher and Patrick
