31/10/2016: IPACK-IMA and MEAT-TECH 2018: 50 percent of available space already booked

The excellent results from the first three months of exhibition space sales demonstrate the strong interest in the new exhibition formula shown by companies from all reference sectors, particularly in terms of the event’s international scope, its layout according to target sectors and its innovative content.

Exhibitor companies are showing a keen interest in the next edition of IPACK-IMA and MEAT-TECH, the exhibitions of food and non-food processing and packaging technology to be held in the Rho Fiera Milano exhibition centre from 29 May to 1 June 2018.

Twenty months before the shows are due to open and just three months since exhibition space sales began, 50 percent of the available space has already been booked.

Exhibitors are particularly enthusiastic about the new exhibition format, which combines a layout organised according to client sectors with extensive promotion of each of the eight business communities (Food, Fresh & Convenience; Confectionary; Beverage; Pasta, Milling & Bakery; Industrial & Durable Goods; Health & Personal Care; Chemicals, Industrial & Home; Fashion & Luxury).

The project was created by Ipack Ima, the new management company set up as a joint venture between Ucima (Italian Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Association) and Fiera Milano, and has attracted hundreds of applications from leading Italian and international companies.

In particular, a growing number of applications are being made by key exhibitors operating in the segments of liquid filling (Beverage and detergents), labelling, materials and packaging, as well as companies in the show’s more traditional sectors such as pasta, bakery, milling, confectionery, fresh products and industrial and durable goods.

MEAT-TECH is once again the only international event for the meat industry held in Italy. Exhibitors are also highly appreciative of the packed programme of international activities designed to increase the influx of foreign visitors as well as the focus on specific topics, including high-tech, innovative and low-environmental-impact materials, anti-counterfeiting and design.

These results testify to the role of IPACK-IMA and MEAT-TECH as the only Italian processing & packaging shows capable of competing with major international events and attracting the interest of the national and international industry and distribution sectors.
