IHSIG aims to promote health and welfare in poultry production by provoking debate between the scientific community, poultry producers, regulatory authorities, nutritionists and poultry veterinarians.

The IHSIG symposia focus on the One World, One Health concept which recognises that human health is interconnected to the health of animals and the environment. Humans and animals interact with greater frequency and intimacy in a globalised world.

These interactions increase the risk of the emergence and spread of disease agents that could adversely impact health, whether human or both.

BK Chew, Nutriad APAC Director expressed his enthusiasm and support for this conference, “With record attendance, over the years these conferences have gained interest worldwide and is being appreciated by the poultry industry. We congratulate IHSIG for bringing this symposium to our shores.”

Mr Chew added, “At the conference, Dr Wei Wang, Nutriad Technical Manager will present “Quorum sensing as a tool to select botanical compounds to improve broiler performance” and we believe will stimulate a lot of discussion and debate amongst the delegates.”

Dr Tim Goossens, Business Development Manager Digestive Performance, concluded “The conference will provide an excellent platform for us to show our latest scientific findings related to intestinal health, amongst which is the outcome of the EU-project on evaluating the effectiveness of additives against campylobacter (CAMPYBRO).”
