Since 1958, Westrup has been a member of the seed and grain processing community. During the past 60+ years we have followed developments in the industry closely and contributed our solutions to ensure that processing and conditioning plants could keep up with the ever-changing landscape.
We have seen improvements in genetics and the increase in yields putting a strain on most processing plants when the volume of incoming grain increased. Over the years, many smaller seed producing companies grouped into larger entities, which required processing facilities to put emphasis on efficiency to meet the larger capacity requirements.
With each new demand, we have always been able to support our customers, with the right solution for their challenges. More efficient elevators and belt conveyors were built, and we made sure to have a wide range of equipment to support customers with different capacity and processing needs. To this day, we can provide the solution our customers require to run a stable and profitable operation.

Test centres
In our in-house test centres, you can get your grain or seed tested. This is an important step in the process. By running a sample of product on our small-scale machines, we are able to provide customers with a detailed test report stating the machine combination and machine settings that allow them to achieve the best processing results – this is the first step towards a successful operation.
We also offer training sessions, because we know that understanding how your product reacts when processed is the second step towards running an efficient plant.
“We know that a seed is not just a seed and a grain not simply a grain – therefore we help our customers understand each process and teach how to evaluate the product and adjust the machines accordingly. This way, they will achieve the outcome they are looking for”, says Anders Thorsted.
