Turkey allocates $188 billion USD to 2020 agricultural sector budget

Turkey's Chairman of the Presidency Strategy and Budget Mr Naci Ağbal recently held a press conference and informed the Central Government Budget Law Proposal of 2020. During the press conference, he emphasised that fiscal discipline is very important. Mr Ağbal stated that the budget allocated for the agricultural support program to be implemented next year was an increase 36.6 percent when compared to this year.
 
The total budget is for ₺1 trillion 95.5 billion Turkish Lira ($188 billion USD), this increase in support will be used on investment allowances of the agriculture sector.

Breakdown of budget
₺6.6 billion TL of the total budget allocated for agriculture livestock, ₺3.1 billion TL to diesel fuel, ₺2.4 TL cotton premium support, ₺2 billion TL grain premium support, ₺1.4 billion TL development, ₺1.1 billion TL agricultural products insurance support was announced.
