Symaga takes steps to improve the manufacturing and commercialisation of their silos

Symaga have a continuous investment plan in place to ensure the improvement of manufacturing and commercialisation on their silos.

In 2021, they equipped their factory with a d double column eccentric press, which triples the productivity for large progressive dies. This line has a high quality feeder, which has a 0.01mm precision and an optimal speed, as well as an automatic extraction belt which helps fulfil the company's automation objective at the factory.

An SGA module and MES system will be added further into the year, where they will be able to optimise the reception of materials, inventory and storage system, and improve the order preparation and loading process. The MES will also help to improve quality and manufacturing control.

Symaga have another project already under way, the extension of their Growket building to a total of 1,000sqm, to improve the distribution area in that section of the factory.

To keep up their high quality standards, the company's Continuous Investment Plan targets an annual minimal investment of €3million (US $3.6m). In 2015, automisation was extended to 80 percent of the manufacturing processes. In 2018 productivity was brought up by 30 percent in punching and profiling lines. In late 2019, a new drilling system was acquired, and the welding and bending lines were also improved. In 2020, alongside the roll out of a new ICT infrastructure, a photovoltaic solar energy generation plant was installed.

By continually investing in new technologies and human resources, Symaga is able to keep a high level of quality throughout their company.
