Argenta welcomes Peter McCarthy as new Chief Operating Officer North America

Argenta have announced that Peter McCarthy has been appointed Chief Operating Officer North America, a new executive position within Argenta.

Effective immediately, Peter will oversee Argenta's business operations and strategic initiatives in the United States, working closely together with Edward McGruder, Global Head of Research, Development & Innovation, and Stephen Sibson, Global Head of Manufacturing.

'Peter is a seasoned and trusted leader with vast experience, extensive knowhow and a large network in the animal health industry. He is uniquely qualified to drive strategic growth within Argenta, with a laser-focus on operational excellence. Prior to joining Argenta, Mr McCarthy was President and CEO of Henry Schein Global Animal Health Group. During his tenure he led tremendous growth, both organically and inorganically, building the Henry Schein Animal Health business to become the largest distribution-based network globally. Before that, Peter had several international leadership roles with Schering-Plough and Intervet/Schering-Plough, now Merck Animal Health (MSD Animal Health outside the USA and Canada). Most recently, he was Practice Lead Commercial & Strategy at Stonehaven Consulting.
