In line with the statement made by the Turkish Grain Board, the agricultural drought experienced in the country simultaneously with the whole world, along with the progress of the grain harvest in the country, caused losses in production and yield, leading to extreme increases in market prices.
In order to prevent price increases, sales prices were announced by Turkish Grain Board some weeks ago, and then a Feed Regulation Study was started in order to reduce the costs of meat, milk and feed producers and especially for consumers.
However, although this year's corn production was higher than last year, the Turkish Grain Board has reported that domestic corn prices have increased from time to time due to the speculative news in the world markets.
The Turkish Grain Board will hold a 325 thousand tons of corn import tender on October 14th 2021 in order to ensure that these increases do not adversely affect the breeders and growers, that the producers can obtain the raw materials they need without any problems, and that they contribute to the reduction of feed costs.
