Alapala Academy and Innovation Center opens up to the world in cooperation with IAOM

September 18, 2023 - Having been established by Alapala, one of Turkey's leading manufacturer and exporter in food processing technologies, with a view to offering training opportunities to industry professionals, Alapala Academy and Innovation Centre opens up to the world.


Alapala Academy and Innovation Center of Alapala which has established state-of-the-art technology integrated facilities across 4 continents twin to its contemporary food processing solutions now shares its experience with the entire world in cooperation with the International Association of Operative Millers (IAOM). The Academy, which was established in an effort to convey the modern grain milling and food processing solutions to both its employees and customers ad also provide them with professional training opportunities, started out hands-on training activities on September 4, 2023, in which Professor Dr Jeff Gwirts participates as the instructor, in its classes furnished with all brand new and modern technological equipment.

A breakthrough in Turkey

Alapala Academy and Innovation Center leads the way in Turkey not only with its vision as being an application centre for R&D studies of Alapala but also as a facility delivering training opportunities on food processing technologies to the professionals not only in Turkey but also worldwide. Alapala Academy and Innovation Center satisfies an important need in the sector with its staff of project managers, engineers, technicians and milling masters as well as the professional academicians with more than 20 years of experience within Alapala.

Ismail Alapala, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Alapala Holding, said that they act with the responsibility as required by the leadership and with the awareness of introducing qualifies employees to the sector in a world where the importance of food technologies is increasing for a sustainable future. Alapala continued as follows, "With out 70 years of experience and innovative power, we have blended the goal of IAOM to increase the added value in the industry and our international training program with the cooperation of our strong partners within the sector. We have taken some remarkable steps within Alapala in an attempt to establish unmanned lights-out factories through the adaptation of smart automation systems to the food processing industry. Sectoral trainings are delivered

Gulfem Alapala, a Member of the Board, emphasised that Alapala Academy and Innovation Center was established as a reflection of Alapala's vision, as a result of intensive and comprehensive work, with the aim of making it a fully-equipped and modern training centre where sectoral training courses are offered at the highest level. Pointing out that an educational infrastructure will be required to make the best of the technology, Gulfem Alapala noted, "With so many years of experience we have had in the field of food processing technologies, we are excited not only because we have been offering quality products and services to our customers around the world, but also because we have introduced an educational platform that adds value to the sector.
