Victam Asia 2018 is over - but the messages and knowledge it presented over three days in March 2018 should be an inspiration to millers everywhere.
The GRAPAS & Global Milling Conference 2018, which took place on March 27, 2018, the first day of the three-day exhibition, presented thirteen 15-minute technology reviews, with many of those appearing as finalists in this year's GRAPAS Innovation Awards - the winners and all applicant products can be viewed HERE.
Milling and Grain magazine is the Patron of GRAPAS which focuses on food milling as aposed to feed milling at this event and is a growing industry sector within the Victam event.
"Hosting a flour and rice milling conference is a challenge when the overall focus of the exhibition is on feed, but we are attracting more and more food millers to Victam and this was evident in the numbers attending the conference, exhibiting their equipment on the exhibition floor and applying for the award," says Roger Gilbert, publisher of Milling and Grain magazine.
He was interviewed in Victam's 'Press Room', a novel development that attracted much interest on the show floor and presented a wide range of visitor and exhibitor views through social media over the three days and beyond. Mr Gilbert believe's the industry has a responsibility to encourage and support the development of efficient and safe milling practices in transitional countries.
