A few months ago, assembly works started for the new City Group plant, one of the main agroindustry players in Bangladesh, which has entrusted Symaga for the second time with a silo project.
This new storage plant is located in Rupshi, Dhaka, with a total storage of 406.059 m3. During the first months of 2021 they manufactured: 31 silos SBH1986/27, eight silos SBH1986/27, one silo SBH1757/27, eight silos SC0350/03T45 and one silo SCE0920/25T45 – and now Symaga is supervising the assembly progress.
Bangladesh is one of the fastest growing markets. Symaga has developed projects for some of the main industrial and agribussines companies since 2012. In 2016, they consolidated our footprint in this Asian country with two important projects. A new storage plant with 59452 m3 for Akij flourmill in Dhaka, where they supplied four flat bottom silos SBH2444/26. The customer satisfaction with Symaga silos and service allowed them to develop the extension phase with three flat bottom silo SBH2750 / 25. In the same year, they delivered another project for City Auto Rice, a rice mill that belongs to City Group, with a total scope of 13 hopper silos (models SCE610 / 14T60, SCE610 / 13T60, SCE1070 / 17T45TE), with a combined capacity of 16.037 m3.
In 2018 Symaga consolidated their presence in Bangladesh with a grain terminal for one of the biggest local business groups, Bashundhara LTD. This facility was built to enhance wheat trade in the country. In the same year, Ar Specialised Auto Rice Mill Pvt LTD relied on Symaga for a new silo SCE0687 / 11T45 to store paddy rice. Bangladesh has a total 648.269m3 of built Storage, which have been supplied by Symaga, and this year the new state-of-the-art oil plant of City Group was completed.
2021 is a year marked by the continuous steel price increases and volatility that has destabilised the sector, a market already hit by the impact of the pandemic. Symaga is proud of facing both crises, maintaining a sound orders portfolio and keeping manufacturing at full steam.
