During the negotiations, the parties discussed the Grain from Ukraine program of the President of Ukraine, which provides humanitarian aid in the form of grain supplies to the poorest countries in Africa and Asia to prevent famine.

Mr Solsky emphasised the importance of this initiative and emphasised that even in such a difficult time, Ukraine is looking for opportunities to provide assistance to the countries that need it most, and thereby ensure the food security of the world. He also said that more than 20 countries have already supported the initiative and invited Spain to join Grain from Ukraine.

For his part, Luis Planas Puchades noted that Spain welcomes and supports the humanitarian food initiative, which is designed to prevent a global food crisis. The government announced aid in the amount of 2.7 million euros, which will be directed to the implementation of Grain from Ukraine.

Mr Solskyi thanked the Spanish side for their support and emphasised that Ukraine highly values all the help provided by partners.

During the meeting, the government officials also considered issues related to the current state and prospects of the agricultural sector of Ukraine, in particular, problems related to harvesting and difficulties faced by Ukrainian farmers in war conditions. The parties discussed the possibility of Spain providing generators to Ukrainian farmers and supplying additional vehicles for transporting grain.
