Asia Agri-Tech Expo & Forum attracts 20,000 visitors

November 13, 2023 - The 7th Asia Agri-tech Expo & Forum, organised by Informa Taiwan, was concluded successfully on 3rd of November 2023. The event featured speeches by Ms Hung-Hsi Lee, the Director of Department of Agricultural Science and Technology of Ministry of Agriculture, and Chairman Mr Dennis Han from the Taiwan Feed Industry Association, marking the exhibition's opening. With approximately 20,000 visiting buyers from 46 countries and regions, including 31 domestic agricultural, aquaculture, and livestock groups, as well as 6 international VIP buyer groups, the event facilitated 136 on-site matchmaking meetings between exhibitors and international buyers, resulting in over 1 billion in new business opportunities.

The 'Asia Agri-tech Expo & Forum' is a 4-in-1 exhibition, including the 'Aquaculture Taiwan', 'Livestock Taiwan' and 'Cold Chain and Agri-food Tech Expo'. These exhibitions showcase the latest technologies, equipment, materials and intelligent management systems tailored for professionals in the agriculture, aquaculture, livestock and cold chain industries.

The exhibition featured exhibitors from 15 countries, including China, Denmark, Germany, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Netherlands, USA and so forth. It showcased various thematic zones such as the Taiwan Agricultural Technology Pavilion, Pig Farming Industry Transformation Pavilion, Smart Livestock Equipment Zone, and more. With over 500 booths, the exhibition displayed a wide range of products and services.

Notably, international brands Nabel and MOBA presented their groundbreaking egg washing and sorting equipment for the first time. Taiwan also showcased its innovative oral technology for gender control in aquaculture shrimp, advanced animal feeding equipment and systems, diverse animal nutrition and vaccine products, customised greenhouse machinery and materials, intelligent agricultural management systems, and refrigeration engineering.

In addition to the exciting exhibition, the event hosted professional forums, inviting experts, scholars and industry representatives from both domestic and international backgrounds to share their experiences and knowledge. The forum topics include agricultural technology launch seminars, cold chain and agricultural, aquaculture, and livestock product processing technology presentations, 'Precision Preventive Medicine for Animals', 'Modernisation and Upgrading of Pig Farming' and 'Key Technologies for Smart Agriculture, Aquaculture and Livestock: Examples of IoT Applications."

The 2023 'Asia Agri-tech Expo & Forum' provides the latest market trends in the agriculture, aquaculture, and livestock industries, promoting the development of these industries in Taiwan.
