Cargill has announced plans to construct a
new state-of-the-art, feed mill in Hedrick, Iowa, US at a cost of US$29 million.
The new feed mill, which will be capable of producing 350,000 tons of pelletized hog feed annually, is strategically located in proximity to the already established feedstock raw material supplies and hog finishing operations in southeast Iowa and northern Missouri.

The feed mill is scheduled to be completed in late 2014.
According to Egyptian grain officials, Russia has returned to prominence as a top exporter. This news comes after Egypt recently made their biggest wheat order
of 2013.
Egypt's grain authority purchased 355,000 tonnes of wheat, at a cost of US$94m, the biggest order since a 400,000 tonne deal back in December.
Armando Guebuza, president of Mozambique, recently expressed his optimism with regard to new irrigation schemes that are currently under construction in the country.
The new irrigation systems could see in the Xai-Xai district, located in the southern province of Gaza, Mozambique drastically reduce its import of rice.
After visiting the Lower Limpopo Irrigation
Scheme, Guebuza told local reporters that with the current expansion of
the scheme, rice imports could be cut by 100,000 tonnes in the next few
years.
Currently the irrigation scheme could produce 14,000 hectares of rice.
