Bag compactor from Flexicon gives safer operational performance

The Flexicon Bag Dump Station provides a simple yet highly effective method of manually introducing bagged materials for hopper replenishment or direct feed into a processing line via flexible screw or pneumatic conveyors. As each bag is split and manually emptied into the bag dump station high velocity vacuum fans automatically draw dust away from the operator onto two cartridge filters, protecting workers and preventing plant contamination. New Zealand animal feed company gets environmental award

Eco-Stock Supplies has received the Environment Minister’s supreme green ribbon award for making a difference in waste minimisation by turning food waste into high quality feed for livestock. Eco Stock Supplies collect food waste from processors, retailers, importers, and transport companies, and instead of going to landfill, it is processed into high-quality stock food at their plant in South Auckland.

Eco Stock Supplies currently service the upper North Island, and in the past 12 months they have diverted 25,000 tonnes of food waste from landfill. Eco Stock Supplies are an example of an innovative commercial operation helping to minimise waste for measurable environmental benefits.
