Charm Sciences, Inc. is pleased to announce the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration (GIPSA) awarded a five year contract to Charm Sciences to monitor aflatoxin in grains utilising the Charm® ROSA® WET®-S5 Aflatoxin Quantitative Test (water-based) and ROSA FAST Aflatoxin Quantitative Test (solvent-based).
The Charm ROSA WET-S5 Aflatoxin Quantitative Test (water-based) is GIPSA-approved to detect 5 to 100 parts per billion aflatoxin in a single five minute assay in 14 commodities – more than any other water extraction kit on the market.
In three or five minutes, the ROSA FAST Aflatoxin Quantitative Test (solvent-based) enables feed and grain producers to quantitatively detect aflatoxin. Samples are extracted with 70 percent methanol.
The ROSA AFQ-FAST test has been approved by USDA-GIPSA for corn and 25 other commodities.
