On September 11, 2020, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) voted to continue the antidumping investigation of methionine from France, Japan and Spain.
Adisseo commented on the outcome, 'While we were disappointed with this outcome, it was not surprising, given that the ITC makes an affirmative preliminary determination in a very high percentage of the cases it hears.'
The case now moves to the US Department of Commerce, and will return to the ITC in 2021.
Throughout this investigation, Adisseo intends to strongly defend its sales practices in the United States as well as the commercial interests of its valued US customers: open and fair competition on key feed ingredients like methionine is indeed essential to ensure the competitiveness of the US Poultry industry on global markets.
