Taiwan consumed about 600 million chicken in 2020, however, nearly 60 percent of the chicken were imported.
To fulfil domestic demand, Taiwan government subsidise poultry farmers to replace traditional poultry farming equipment to an updated version to increase poultry production and biosecurity.
Their subsidised items include:
- Modernised and intelligent environment controlled poultry house equipment
- Egg washing and grading equipment
- Poultry slaughter house equipment, e.g waste water treatment equipment and livestock waste treatment equipment
- Tunnel ventilated or pad cooling upgraded poultry house equipment
- Chicken litter scarifier
- Small to medium size rendering machine, etc.
