The January edition of Milling and Grain magazine is out now!

The January edition of Milling and Grain magazine is now available in-print, online and on our App.

We start off the year with Milling and Grain's contributor, James Cooper, with his feature "Opportunities and threats: In a globalised world, how does Africa become self-reliant."

Markus Löns, Business Development Manager Food & Feed and Nicole Kuska, Content Manager, Brabender GmbH & Co. KG, take us into our other features to discuss gluten-free flours, the analytical characterisation and processin of gluten-free flours on a laboratory scale.

Further in the features we explore insect damage and product loss with Sid Jain, Technical Sales, Satake. They discuss the success story of an Australian Almond Processor in tackling the issue of 'Pinhole'.

The importance of starch damage in the wheat and milling industry is also discussed in a feature written by Rabia Tiryaki, Bastak Ínstruments.

As this is the first issue of 2023, the team at Milling and Grain have also included a few pages to look back at 2022 and to look forward into 2023.

Our storage feature is brought to us by John McArthur, Managing Director of McArthur Agriculture, to discuss grain cleaning and grading for tightening specifications.

The event section sees stories from the latest Eurotier 2022 event, as well as what to expect in 2023.

Our interview this month comes from two individuals, Freya von Czettritz, CEO of DLG Holding, and Jens Kremer, Managing Director of DLG International.
