A new report estimates the compound feed market at US$308.5 billion by 2017

A new report published by Transparency Market Research "Compound feed market and feed additives market: Global analysis and forecast (2007 - 2017), the global compound feed market is estimated to be US$257 billion (€197.063 billion) in 2012 and expected to reach US$308.5 billion (€236.553 billion) in 2017 at a Compound Annual Growth Rate of 3.72 percent over the period 2012 to 2017.

Compound feed grew significantly worldwide over the past five years with the growth rate of 3.94 percent. North America is consistently maintaining its leadership in compound feed market with revenue market revenue of US$72.3 billion (€55.438 billion) in 2010. Feed additive market poised for growth

The report "Global Animal Feed Additives by Type, Livestock, Geography, Regulations Trends & Forecasts (2009 - 2016)" forecasts an annual growth of 3.8 percent to US$18.7 billion (UK£11.4 million) in 2016. The global feed additives market is estimated to reach US$18.7 billion (UK£11.4 million) in 2016 with an expected compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.8 percent from 2011 to 2016.

The Asian market is driving the sales and is expected to hold 28.5 percent of the global market share in 2016. The Asian market is expected to have a high CAGR of 4.74 percent due to increasing demand for meat products in the region, and rising domestic meat production. Read more ...
