A prominent Scots farmer has been killed in a tragic accident on his farm, The Daily Record reports.
The body of Bruce Ferguson, 61, was found by his son Andrew after appearing to have fallen into a grain storage tank.
Police Scotland confirmed today that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding Saturday afternoon’s industrial accident.
Mr Ferguson, president of the world famous Turriff Show, was discovered at Ardmiddle Farm, near Turriff, Aberdeenshire.
Tributes have been paid to the leading farming figure by colleagues and politicians including former First Minister Alex Salmond.
Last summer he welcomed the Queen to the 2014 Turriff Show to celebrate the event’s 150th anniversary.
