İmaş started out in 1989 under the name of İttifak Makine in a small machinery workshop producing milling machines. In 1991 it added bandsaw systems to its product range. In 2003 İmaş completed its institutionalization and made a strong entry to the sector with the ‘Milleral’ brand of milling machines and the ‘Cuteral’ brand of bandsaw machines.
The Milleral and Cuteral product ranges aimed to compete with giant international companies in their respective sectors and became globally sought-after brands thanks to İmaş Makine’s quality standards, R&D efforts and human resources producing their own technology and effective marketing strategies.
