CESCO advances with grain storage facility in Cameroon

November 14, 2024 - CESCO has announced significant progress in the erection of a modern steel mill building and grain storage facility in Douala, Cameroon. This project is financially backed by AKA-Bank, with support from Euler Hermes Export Credit Insurance, underscoring the importance of this initiative for regional industrial growth.

Recently, the companies marketing team visited the site to capture key moments of the assembly process, documenting the meticulous work that is bringing this project to life. This project stage involved detailed inspections of anchor bolts and site preparations for concrete pouring, marking an important milestone in construction.

Project Highlights:

  • 15 corrugated steel silos with a combined capacity of 205,000 tonnes, complemented by a 3800m² soy storage warehouse.
  • Grain receiving lines (2x400t/h) and soy lines (2x125t/h) for efficient intake.
  • Integrated systems for removing impurities and ensuring accurate measurements. 
  • The facility includes space for an additional 120,000 tonnes of storage capacity to meet UFC's future needs.
