December 4, 2024 - Donald Tusk, Poland's Prime Minster, unveiled plans earlier this week for a new grain terminal at the Port of Gdansk.
The €117 million investment will give the port an additional annual grain handling capacity of two million tonnes by 2026, rising to three million tonnes later on.
The PM said that the grain terminal "will not only perform commercial functions, but will be a safety device in the hands of the Polish state as part of protecting Polish interests and Polish farmers."
