The Online Milling School (OMS) is a 12 class educational online webinar series. OMS is a joint initiative between Milling and Grain magazine and Progressus Agrischools Asia. On September 2nd, at 2PM Bangkok time (ICT, UTC +7), session 8 will take place, the session is titled 'Considerations of Associated Process Equipment'.
Those that attend all 12 classes will receive a certificate of completion to recognise their efforts. If you missed a session it's not an issue, you can simply attend the the sessions you missed during the next cycle, enabling you to receive your certificate.
The role and importance of supporting equipment is reviewed throughout the milling process. Specific attention is given for liquid additions at the mixer and post pelleting as well as alternative application methods for non-conventional liquids or more advanced feed additive. Following on, the session will cover the pellet cooling process with specific attention to practices that affect pellet quality. Finally the session will look into the use of expanders as an alternative to the traditional conditioning process.
