The Online Aquafeed Production School began May 4th and will continue to run into July 20th, 2021. The 12 week educational programme will discuss a range of topics from within the aquafeed industry.
This week's session covered 'Micro ingredients and final preparation before pellet'; previous sessions have covered 'raw materials: process interaction and function of use', 'drying and cooling of aquatic feeds', and 'receiving of ingredients, storage, batching and mixing',
Each session is two hours long, featuring multiple guest speakers, with a question and answer section at the end of each talk. The sessions are also broadcast on consecutive days in order to accomodate two different time zones.
Progressus Agrischools and International Aquafeed Magazine have organised and helped deliver this programme, with the first session of the week scheduled for Tuesdays at 14:00 Bangkok Time/09:00 CET Time.
The second session runs of Fridays at 10:00 Chicago Time/ 13:00 Buenos Aires Time, so those in the U.S & Latin America also have a chance to join in.
The course has already started, however all 12 episodes will be available to re-watch on demand for two weeks following the completion of the course.
Once completed, all candidates who have either watched or attended all 12 sessions will be awarded an industry accredited certificate.
